Standing Alone and Facing Our Fear

It’s never easy, they say,

To confront the worst of us.

It’s never easy, they say,

After losing the landslide of trust.

Courage to face the unknown,

Hides but rises when called.

Our Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Will never let us fall.

So alone, we face the beast.

We understand the game,

We stand our ground,

Our footing sound.

No shame.

It’s hard to face the unknown,

And leave triumphantly.

Hard-fought battles are the bane,

But gives us light to see.

Out there on our own,

Battered and scorned,

We arrive reluctantly.

Standing divided and torn…

From whom we were thought to be.

  1. That definitely hit me square in the heart and mind! To me, it sounds like a call to action to never give up and keep moving forward no matter what stands in your way! ~ Little Bird
