Hello everyone, and welcome to the "revised" DaMarie's Blog!
I am so excited
to share my weekly views, rants, raves, and who knows what. The mission of this
blog is moving in a different direction than it had been previously. Here, I'll
focus more on daily reflections from a writer's perspective.
As an author, I
write emotionally driven literary fiction centered on identity, resilience,
hidden truths, human connection, and reflection, with suspenseful undertones. Oh,
and poetry, of course. My genre of choice is coming-of-age and women's fiction
set in historical small-town America.
Though most of my
previous posts will remain, you'll see a blending of topics that are writer-based.
Some of which concern books, literary reflections, poetry, and prose, and a new
category of personal observations in my daily life: creative moments,
behind-the-scenes thoughts, and more.
The primary focus
will be on expanding the information on my website, donnamarielawence.com,
which doesn't go deep enough into the necessary details of writer life. If you
haven't already, please also sign up for my newsletter on that website. The newsletter
information will blend seamlessly with what I share here.
Even though the
mission has changed, it will not stray far from bringing my perspectives and
reflections in the form of musings, poems, and book references. The various
topics will be mixed with some lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek humor, especially
when writing about social issues of the day.
With that said, please
feel free to browse the posts presented in the drop-down menu. Share or
leave respectful comments if you wish. I would love to hear
your thoughts on various topics, likes, dislikes, or how much you enjoy
visiting here at DaMarie's Blog.
So, grab a cup of
your favorite brew or drink of choice, sit back, and enjoy!
~ DaMarie
