The Majesty of Nature

Facing Adversity

The Majesty of Nature

Storms beat around me as I stand tall.

Grasses bend at the will of the wind,

...And I do not feel small.

Buffeted and churned are the seeds of grain

That feeds our empty souls,

...And I am born again.

Batten and gusseted we seek shelter,

Unable to weather the oncoming,

...Am I the only detector?

I am not afraid of nature’s wrath.

I am not cowed by the maelstrom.

I will not succumb to the unyielding lash.

I will stand despite the tantrum,

For I know the reason why.

Noises cease and all is calm.

Amazing has been the outcome,

...And I alone unharmed.

Storms will rise, and winds will wail,

For a purpose so divine that

Washes away the tainted veil,

That nourishes the soil of time.
