My
Kentucky Mind
The
autumn winds are blowing,
Across my
troubled mind.
I’ve not
forgot the sleepy town,
In my
Kentucky mind.
Its ups
and downs, and all arounds,
The verdant bluegrass holds me.
My
childhood days won’t pass away,
From my
Kentucky mind.
Hold me now.
Wrap me
up, console me.
Hold me
close.
Let your
arms enfold me.
Though
streets are bare,
I’m
everywhere,
I can’t
forget the glory.
I’ve not
forgot the sleepy town,
In my
Kentucky mind.
Same ups
and downs, and all arounds,
These snowy
hills can’t hold me.
My
childhood days won’t pass away,
From my Kentucky mind.
I’ve not forgot the sleepy town,
In my Kentucky mind.
