Be Still

Joy of Being Still

Enjoy the quiet, it is whisper soft.

These days, it seems that even our religious belief in walking by faith and not by sight has been upended. In secular life, we need proof in order to believe, and in that, we walk by sight and not by faith. Just because there is no physical evidence of Moses doesn’t mean that he didn’t exist. We need to believe in something, and faith will get us there.

So be still for a moment.

Absorb the quiet and languish in the beauty of silence. Throw away worry and pain. Leave thoughts for tomorrow at tomorrows door, they are not for today. All will be well regardless of what may happen. Satan has no place when Jesus is on the right hand of God. It is all in God's hands anyway.

So be still for a moment.

Enjoy the soft rippling thoughts of sunshine and light. Blessed is he who understands God’s word and loves Jesus. Stand strong in faith, knowing that there is nothing we can’t withstand. Inhale deeply and hold onto each breath long enough to fill the lungs and slowly exhale, feeling the tension of days stress release.

So be still for a moment.

Just a moment in time is all that's needed to reset. Just a moment in time is all that's needed to unwind—just a moment of quiet to find peace. The quiet is whisper soft.

Be still.
